One thing you must not compromise on is the power supply (PSU). One thing you must not compromise on is the power supply (PSU). This is because the PSU is what will provide electricity to all components of your PC, which may otherwise crash and become unstable or even get damaged if supplied by low-quality PSU.

Most of the gaming PCs require 650W to 750W 80 Plus Gold power supplies. When you decide to build a high end PC with an advanced graphics card such as the RTX 4080, RTX 5080, or anything similar, then I would recommend 850W or more power supply. Also, don’t forget to make some extra space by leaving about 20% – 30% capacity left.

The 80 Plus (Bronze, Gold, Platinum, etc.) is not about the quality but rather about efficiency, with Gold being the optimal combination of performance, reliability, and price. You may go for Bronze if you need an affordable PSU, while Platinum is only justified when efficiency is of great importance.

Popular brands of PSU are Corsair, Seasonic, be quiet, MSI, Cooler Master and many others. Nevertheless, you should still pick a highly rated PSU regardless of the brand name since not all products from the same company have the same quality.
