Yes Shane, you can reset your Amazon Fire tablet safely without losing important data unnecessarily. First, try a simple restart by holding the Power button for 20–40 seconds if the tablet is frozen or slow.

      If the issue continues:

      1. Go to Settings > Device Options
      2. Tap Reset to Factory Defaults
      3. Confirm the reset
Before resetting, back up important photos, files, or apps because a factory reset removes local data.

If the tablet is locked and you can’t open settings:
      • Turn it off
      • Hold Power + Volume Down together
      • Choose Wipe Data/Factory Reset from recovery mode

After the reset, sign in with your Amazon account to restore synced content and purchases.
