How to do powerwash chromebook?

My Chromebook has been running slowly, experiencing software issues, or I want to remove all personal data before selling or giving it to someone else. I’ve heard that a Powerwash can reset the device to its factory settings, but I’m not sure how to do it correctly.

When a Chromebook is powerwashed, all local data, accounts, and settings are deleted and the device is reset to factory settings.

      How to Powerwash a Chromebook
      Log out of your Chromebook.
      On the sign-in screen, press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R.
      Choose Restart.
Click Powerwash and then Proceed in the pop-up box.
To finish the reset, adhere to the on-screen directions.
      Prior to Beginning
Make a local backup of any crucial files.
Verify that you are aware of your Google Account login credentials.
Google Drive files are secure and accessible after you log back in.

Performance difficulties, software issues, or getting your Chromebook ready for a new user can all be resolved with a Powerwash.
