Yes, you can add a video to your slide and have it played directly from PowerPoint while delivering your presentation.

Firstly, open the presentation in PowerPoint and select the slide you would like to insert the video. Next, go to Insert on the top menu and click Video, then This Device for your local computer. Choose the video file and click Insert. The video will be inserted into the slide and can be resized or moved around just like any image.

Once you insert the video, click on it and go to the Playback tab. Here you will choose when you want the video to start playing – either On Click or Automatically. Moreover, you can trim the video, adjust its volume, make it loop or play in full-screen mode.

If the video is taken from YouTube or other websites, then go to Insert > Video > Online Video. Insert the URL of the video and hit Insert. It is necessary to note that online videos will work only if the Internet connection is available during the presentation.

For the most successful results, I would recommend using MP4 video file and testing the slideshow before presenting.
