My printer keeps leaving streaks on the paper when I print. I’ve tried using new paper, but the lines are still there. How can I fix printer streaks on paper?
Printer streaks on paper are usually caused by low ink or toner, dirty print heads, or debris inside the printer. Start by checking your ink or toner levels and replace any cartridges that are running low. Next, run the printer’s built-in print head cleaning or maintenance tool, which can often fix streaking issues.
If the problem continues, inspect the paper path and rollers for dust, paper fragments, or dirt. Cleaning these parts carefully can improve print quality. Also, make sure you’re using the correct paper type and that the paper is stored in a dry place.
After cleaning and maintenance, print a test page. If streaks still appear, the cartridge, drum, or print head may need replacement. Regular printer maintenance helps prevent streaks and keeps documents looking sharp and professional.
Printer streaks usually happen because of dirty printheads, clogged nozzles, low/defective ink or toner, or dirty rollers.
Try these steps:
1. the printer’s Print Head Cleaning / Nozzle Cleaning option from printer settings.
2. Print a nozzle check/test page to see which color or line is causing the streaks.
3. Remove and gently reseat the ink/toner cartridge. Make sure it is not leaking or low.
