I use Google Maps for navigation and would like it to open by default whenever I tap on an address or location link on my iPhone. Is there a way to set Google Maps as the default maps app, or are there any reliable workarounds?

I looked into this when I switched to an iPhone because I prefer Google Maps over Apple Maps. Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t let you set Google Maps as the default navigation app system-wide. Tapping an address in most apps will still open Apple Maps. The workaround I use is to open locations directly in Google Maps whenever an app offers that option, or use apps like Gmail or Chrome, which can be configured to open map links in Google Maps instead of Apple Maps. It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s the closest you can get without jailbreaking your iPhone.
