How do you turn Caps Lock off or stop it from happening?
If Caps Lock is turned on, you can usually turn it off on a Chromebook by pressing Alt + Search (Launcher key) again. The Search key is where the Caps Lock key is found on many traditional keyboards.
If you’re accidentally enabling it often, check your keyboard settings:
Open Settings.
Go to Device → Keyboard.
Review what the Search/Launcher key is set to do.
You can also press Shift while Caps Lock is on to temporarily type lowercase letters.
If Caps Lock keeps turning on by itself, it could be caused by a keyboard shortcut being pressed accidentally or a keyboard settings change.
