How to update display driver?

  • 0
  • 0

I’m trying to launch GTA V, but I keep getting an error saying I need an up-to-date display (graphics) driver or that I need to close screen recording software, even though I’m not recording anything. I tried to follow a guide to update my drivers via the Device Manager, but when I try to run devmgmt.msc, Windows says it can’t find it.

Since I can’t even get the Device Manager to open to update my drivers, what is the best way to fix this so I can finally get the game running?

Thanks!

To update your display driver, first identify your graphics card (e.g., via Device Manager on Windows). Then visit the manufacturer’s website, such as NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel and download the latest driver for your model and operating system. Alternatively, on Windows, open Device Manager, expand “Display adapters,” right-click your GPU, and select “Update driver.” Choose automatic search or manually install a downloaded file. Restart your computer after installation. Keeping drivers updated improves performance, fixes bugs, and ensures compatibility with new software and games. Avoid third-party driver tools unless they’re from trusted sources.
