I’m seeing a message that says “iMessage Activation Unsuccessful” on my iPhone. I’m not sure what it means or why it’s happening. Has anyone experienced this before? What causes this issue, and how can I fix it?

“iMessage Activation Unsuccessful” is an error that appears when your iPhone cannot activate iMessage using your phone number or Apple ID. This can happen due to a poor internet connection, incorrect date and time settings, carrier issues, Apple server outages, or problems with your Apple ID.
To fix it, make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data, verify that your date and time are set automatically, restart your device, and sign out and back into iMessage. If the issue persists, check for iOS updates or contact your carrier and Apple Support for further assistance.
