I’ve been trying to find a good clipping software for editing gaming clips, YouTube shorts, and short-form videos, but there are too many options and I’m confused about which one is actually worth using. I need something that’s easy to use, smooth while editing, and doesn’t lag or crash too much.
I mainly want software for trimming clips, adding transitions, captions, effects, and exporting in good quality without complicated settings. Free or budget-friendly options would be better, but I’m open to paid software if it’s really worth it.
What do you guys personally recommend for beginners or intermediate editors?
If you want software for trimming clips, adding transitions, captions, effects, and exporting high-quality short videos without complicated settings, I’d personally recommend CapCut. I personally use it myself for gaming clips and short-form content because it’s beginner-friendly, smooth, and doesn’t require a huge learning curve.
It has almost everything most creators need like easy trimming, auto captions, transitions, effects, and fast high-quality exports. It’s also free for most features, which makes it one of the best options for beginners and intermediate editors.
If you later want more advanced editing tools, then DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro are great choices, but for simple and fast editing, CapCut is honestly hard to beat.
