I am trying to set up my Android device, but the Setup app keeps crashing and showing a “Setup keeps stopping” error. I have restarted the phone, but the issue still comes back

What could be causing this, and how can I fix it so I can complete the setup process?

The “Setup keeps stopping” error on Android is usually caused by a corrupted setup process, outdated system files, or issues with Google Play Services during the initial device configuration.

      Try these steps:
      • Restart the phone and attempt the setup again.
      • Connect to a stable Wi-Fi network.
      • If possible, skip restoring apps and data during setup and complete it first.
      • Boot the device into Safe Mode to check if a pre-installed app is causing conflicts.
      • Wipe the cache partition from Recovery Mode (if your device supports it).
      • Make sure the device has sufficient battery charge before setup.
      • If the problem started after a failed update or factory reset, performing another factory reset from Recovery Mode may resolve it.

If none of these solutions work, the issue could be related to corrupted firmware or a manufacturer-specific software bug. In that case, contacting the device manufacturer’s support team or visiting an authorized service center would be the best option, especially if the phone is new or still under warranty.

The “Android Setup Keeps Stopping” error on your Android device typically indicates that the setup program has crashed or is experiencing problems importing necessary data during device setup.

      Typical reasons consist of:

Temporary files or corrupted program cache
      Inadequate system updates
      Issues with Google Play Services
      The device’s low storage capacity
flaws in the software following a reset or update

      How to Make It Right

Try the setup procedure once more after restarting your phone.
      Establish a reliable Wi-Fi connection.
If the Android Setup app is available, clear its cache and data.
Update the system software and Google Play Services.
If your device’s storage is almost full, free up some space.
Do a factory reset and restart the setup as a last option.

If the problem persists after taking these actions, it might be a software bug that needs help from the device’s maker.
