I noticed a small white dot appearing on my iPad display. It remains visible on the screen and is noticeable against different backgrounds. What could be causing this white spot, and is it something that can be repaired or fixed? Has anyone experienced the same issue?

Yeah, this kind of hardware issue is pretty normal on certain iPad models. You might see a pale dot or little spot on the screen, and most of the time it comes from pressure that builds up behind the display, a backlight defect, or actual harm inside the LCD layers.

If the dot stays put, same exact spot, no matter what app you open or what background you’re on, then it’s usually not software related. Sometimes it just stays like that, while other times it slowly gets more obvious as days go on.

Whether it can be fixed really depends on what’s causing it. If the LCD itself is damaged then replacing the screen is usually the most effective remedy. I’d also look for signs of battery swelling, because that can create extra pressure on the display, and then you get those strange marks.
