You can usually get a pretty decent sense of how your SSD is doing without installing anything, though it kind of depends, but if you want the more precise stuff then yeah a dedicated tool is the best way to go.

On Windows, the fastest thing is to open Command Prompt and run:

      wmic diskdrive get status

If it comes back with “OK” , that s generally a good sign , but it’s more like a barebones health scan, you won’t see the deeper picture.

For more detailed information, like health percentage, temperature, total data written, plus SMART attributes, I’d suggest using CrystalDiskInfo. It tends to show what’s really happening with your SSD, and it can even flag issues early, before it becomes a real problem.

Also if your drive is from a Samsung, WD, Crucial, or Kingston, their official programs (for example Samsung Magician or WD Dashboard) can often report the health and also check for firmware updates, which is handy.

A few things worth keeping an eye on, in a kind of practical way:

Health percentage (numbers near 100% are usually excellent).
Any SMART warnings or reallocated sectors.
Drive temperature, if it stays above ~70Β°C during heavy use, that isn’t very ideal.
Available spare and total bytes written (TBW), if the software displays those metrics.

If the tool tells you the health is “Good” and you don’t see any SMART errors, then your SSD is typically in a solid condition. But if warnings start appearing or the health value falls a lot, it’s a smart move to back up everything, and start planning a replacement before the drive truly fails.

Pre-installed Windows: a lot of mini PCs people buy from brands like Beelink, Minisforum, or Geekom arrive with a fully activated Windows 11 Home or Pro, depending on the model.
Barebone Exceptions: some systems are sold as β€œbarebone”. In that case, there’s no hard drive and no RAM, so you basically need to pick up those parts and then install the OS yourself.

      Included Software
Drivers: crucial hardware drivers are typically pre-installed right out of the box.
Microsoft Office: standard Office is rarely included. More often you’ll see a trial version, or you’ll get the web based Microsoft 365 option.
Antivirus: Windows Defender is already there. Some manufacturers also add short term trials of third party antivirus tools, like McAfee or Norton.
Productivity Tools: you mostly get the normal Windows 11 apps (like Notepad, Paint, and Mail). If you want premium productivity software, that usually means extra payment, and a separate install later.

But Spotify ads are usually pushed through inside the Spotify app, so Pie Ad Blocker kinda does not manage to block Spotify ads very well when you’re playing music directly in the app.

If you use Spotify in a web browser though, results get a little mixed, and honestly it depends. Still, most people say Spotify’s ads are not consistently blocked. The surest approach to remove Spotify ads is basically a Spotify Premium subscription.

      Hope that helps!

The Ryzen 7 7445HS has more cores and threads, which can help when games are trying to juggle more things at once, plus multitasking , streaming, and those random background processes that never really stop. It usually also lands with better multi core muscle, so it feels like the more steady option for heavier chores beyond just gaming.

That said, game speed isn’t only the CPU, it depends a ton on the graphics card, aka GPU. If both laptops or rigs are using the same GPU, then yeah the Ryzen 7 7445HS will typically come out ahead for overall performance, and it should feel better over time too. But if one system has a noticeably stronger GPU, then even an i5-13420H setup can beat a Ryzen system that’s paired with a weaker graphics card.

If you paste the full specs for both builds, especially the GPU, the RAM layout (how much and speed), and the cooling setup, I can give you a much more solid call instead of a β€œgenerally yes/no” kind of answer.

If you’re noticing burn marks, or like image retention on your MacBook Pro screen, the first thing to do is check if it’s real screen damage, or maybe just some temporary image retention thing. Try a simple restart, and then keep a solid white or gray background on screen, just to see whether those marks still show up.

If the marks don’t fade after a bit of time, then it’s pretty likely a display problem, and not really something software related. A few common reasons are stuff like leaving static images on for too long, pressure damage from keys or bags, heat exposure, or plain panel aging over the months.

If your MacBook is still within warranty, or you’ve got AppleCare, I’d suggest you have Apple take a look. If you don’t have coverage, a screen replacement might end up being the only lasting way to fix severe burn marks.

Based on the symptoms you described, I would not ignore this issueβ€”especially on a 4-year-old Surface Laptop 3.

One of the most common causes of a trackpad lifting or no longer sitting flush with the palm rest is battery swelling. As lithium-ion batteries age, they can sometimes expand and put pressure on components above them, including the trackpad and keyboard deck. The fact that the gap has gradually become more noticeable over several weeks, despite no drops or physical damage, is consistent with that possibility.

While there are other potential causes (such as a loose mounting bracket, adhesive failure, or chassis distortion), battery swelling should be ruled out first because it can present a safety risk if left unaddressed.

      My recommendation would be:

Back up any important data as soon as possible.
Inspect the laptop for other signs of swelling, such as keyboard bulging, an uneven bottom cover, or difficulty closing the lid.
Avoid pressing the trackpad back into place.
Consider limiting use of the device until it can be inspected.
Contact Microsoft Support or a qualified repair technician to have the battery and internal components checked.

Even if the trackpad is still functioning normally, the physical separation itself is a sign that something inside may be exerting pressure where it shouldn’t. Given the age of the device and the gradual progression of the issue, I’d recommend having it evaluated sooner rather than later.

My computer screen became half black, with one side displaying normally and the other side completely dark. I first checked whether the issue was caused by a loose or damaged display cable by reconnecting it and trying a different cable. I also restarted my computer and updated my graphics drivers.

To determine whether the problem was with the monitor or the computer, I connected the monitor to another device and tested a different monitor on my computer. If the black area still appeared on the same monitor, it indicated that the monitor itself was likely faulty.

In my case, the issue was usually caused by a damaged LCD panel, a failing display driver board, or a loose internal ribbon cable inside the monitor. These hardware problems generally cannot be fixed through software settings. If the monitor is under warranty, contacting the manufacturer for repair or replacement is the best option. Otherwise, a repair technician can inspect the internal components, but replacing the monitor is often more cost-effective than repairing a damaged panel.

      3. Log in with the router’s administrator username and password.
      4. Navigate to the Wireless, Wi-Fi, or WLAN settings section.
      5. Locate the field labeled “SSID,” “Network Name,” or “Wi-Fi Name.”
      6. Enter the new Wi-Fi name you want to use.
      7. Save or apply the changes.
      8. Reconnect your devices using the updated network name.

If your router supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, you may see separate SSID settings for each band.

If you’re unsure how to access the settings page, sharing your router’s brand and model number can help identify the exact steps.

I’ve come across SPO Connect a few times, and my understanding is that it’s designed to make communication and access to information much easier by bringing everything together in one place. Instead of having to use several different tools or platforms, users can log into a single system to find updates, share information, access resources, and stay connected with others.

How it works can vary depending on where it’s being used, but the general idea is pretty straightforward. Once you’re connected, you can access the information and services relevant to you, interact with other users, and keep track of important updates without jumping between multiple systems.

What I like about the concept is that it simplifies things. Rather than searching through emails, websites, or separate applications, everything is organized in one location, which can save time and make day-to-day tasks more convenient.

From what I’ve seen, Roblox Error Code 285 is usually a connection-related disconnect rather than a problem with your account.

I’d start with the simple stuff first: close Roblox completely, restart your device, and make sure your internet connection is stable. If you’re using a VPN, try turning it off, since Roblox can sometimes have issues with VPN connections.

If the error only happens in one specific game, there’s a good chance the issue is on that game’s side rather than yours. On the other hand, if you’re getting it across multiple experiences, it may be worth reinstalling Roblox or checking whether your firewall/antivirus is interfering with the connection.

I’ve also seen cases where the error disappears on its own after a while because it was caused by a temporary server issue.

      A couple of questions:

What device are you playing on?
Does the error happen in every Roblox game or just one particular experience?

That information would help narrow down the cause.
