Yes, I’ll definitely help you with this. Setting Google as your default browser is simple just follow the steps below based on your device.
For Windows (Chrome as default):
1. Open Settings
2. Go to Apps → Default Apps
3. Scroll to Web browser
4. Click the current browser and select Google Chrome
For Android:
1. Open Settings
2. Tap Apps → Default Apps
3. Select Browser App
4. Choose Chrome
For iPhone (iOS):
1. Open Settings
2. Scroll down and tap Chrome
3. Tap Default Browser App
4. Select Chrome
Once done, all links will automatically open in Google Chrome.
You are unable to make Google your default search browser because Google is actually a search engine and not a web browser. What is likely meant is how to set Google Chrome as default. Follow those instructions to:
1.Open the Settings app on your Windows PC.
2.Go to Apps > Default apps.
3.Search for or select Google Chrome from the list of installed apps.
4.Click Set default. Windows will automatically assign Chrome as the default app for opening web links and supported file types.
Any website/link opened from your email or documents would then automatically default to Chrome to open in this browser.
If your intention was toset Google Search as default instead of Bing/another search provider on a specific browser you have installed(ie:Chrome, Edge, etc.), the directions will vary. Just tell us what you are using!
