I missed an important client call while my phone was on silent. To make sure callers could leave messages, I quickly set up voicemail on my Android phone and never missed an important update again.
To set up voicemail on Android, open the Phone app and press and hold the 1 key, or go to Phone > Settings > Voicemail. Follow the prompts to create a voicemail PIN, record your name, and set a custom greeting. If voicemail isn’t already configured, enter your carrier’s voicemail number when prompted. The exact steps may vary slightly depending on your Android device and mobile carrier. Once set up, callers can leave messages when you don’t answer.
